King’s Mozambique is a clarion of the Holy Spirit in Sofala Province of central Moz. Situated at the port of Beira peninsula, this thriving micro-polis is key to reaching deep into central Africa’s export and import industries from and to everywhere in the world. The city of Beira is home to a cosmopolitan population where East and West blend. Beira and its subsequent townships of Manga, Inhamizua, Dondo and Mesenguerre are just south of the Zambezi River delta where world renown missionary David Livingston is interred at their family cemetery.
The legacy of David Livingston’s commitment to declare the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of the interior of sub-Saharan Africa is entrenched within the tribes of the Zambezi River valley. The awakening of the central tribes with the gospel in the late 1800’s and the later Pentecostal revivals is the passion of King’s Mozambique leaders in helping people find their purpose in Jesus Christ and his church. Experiencing life with PEOPLE, POWER and PURPOSE are the core values of King’s Cathedral Maui worldwide.
King’s Mozambique has seven churches in Inhamizua-Manga Chamba, Nhamatanda, Chomoio and Gorongosa. Our median age is 16 years old with the majority attending under the age of fifteen. The dominant tribal group in our area is Chisena with the Shona of Zimbabwe being second largest. The formal language is colonial Portuguese. King’s Mozambique is a living testimony of the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God activated in the love of Jesus to transform lives today and for generations to come.
